I have been away from here for some time - have you missed me? ;)
I have been so busy with my other work that I have somewhat neglected my crochet work until recently - I have really missed it, but I think a break can be good sometimes - What do you think?
I always find the craft world quite difficult to inspire me at the correct times.. right now the shops are filled with beautiful pastel colours right through to vibrant neon's but my mind is already turning to Christmas (I have already made snowflakes!) else I will be rushing in late November to make enough items to sell to everyone who wants some handmade items to decorate their homes and themselves! However I broke away from the white snowflakes yesterday and opened up the pretty drawer of pastel shades and created this brooch...
I really love the colours in this and I think this is the first thing I have ever added beads to, I am pleased with it :)
So this morning I have to move a pc desk to make it more practical in the room it is in, then I will be crocheting again, thinking bright neon colours may get an airing today - it's very dull this morning, still quite warm but not as yesterday after last nights thunderstorm.
I hope this blog post finds you well and happy.. I would love more of you to comment if possible..

Christmas is coming...
I cannot believe it is almost Christmas already I don't know where this month is going! I am so disorganised this year it's unreal lol, still it all works out eventually :)
I have started to wind my Etsy shop down a bit now, I think most people seem organised with their presents this year so no point getting on everyones nerves by keep mentioning Christmas gift ideas lol.
Our Christmas celebrations with friends and family have already started which is really nice and quite different from other years, is hard trying to fit everything in over just a few days so we are spreading it out this year and spending nice quality time with them all.
I will be back to post before Christmas but until then stay safe and enjoy the run up to the festive season .....

Christmas is coming!
I love Christmas time, I actually prefer the build up to it to anything else! Especially putting the decorations up! It's quite an event in our house, nice food and drink to hand and a barrage of Christmas songs to listen to!
I have been quite festive already with a few things I have made as you can see in my Etsy shop, with a set of 6 of these snowflakes just £3.50 +p&p
We have a really mixed array of tree decorations, since the children were small I have let them choose a new decoration to buy every year, it's lovely to look back on their choices especially as they are now teenagers, and we now have our baby son who is just 10months old so when we go decoration picking we will have to see which one he gets excited at :) We bought a small wooden baby bottle one last year as a token for bubs and I wrote the date and our nickname for him on the underneath of it :)
What's Christmas like in your house?

What crochet hooks do you use?
This is a question I have often been asked, I have a lot of crochet hooks, some I have never even used yet, ranging in size from a hook I can barely see to one that looks more like a cooking utensil! but my favourite set of hooks are a pretty set of coloured metal hooks I have, I use them more than anything else, they are even my profile picture on some social network sites at times!
So in answer to that title question ... I decided to stock and sell the same hooks that are my favourites, I sold the first set on etsy within 24 hours and now have some more in stock. Even if you have never tried crochet but always wanted to these pretty hooks are sure to help inspire!
The full set of metal hooks is just £6 +p&p

Baby blues...and pinks
I am recently (well 8.5 months into) a new mum again for the 3rd time though it all feels so new and lovely as my other 2 are much older (teenagers) so it's a bit like a first baby but with the confidence of having been there before, it's nice I am enjoy it alot more as there seems less pressure, maybe that's age as much as anything though?!
Anyway I have found myself still being drawn to newborn items when I am out and about and love seeing gift ideas that are a little bit different. So I thought I would have a go at making something myself.. and these 2 decorative wall hangings are what I designed and made! What do you think? (Click on the pics to see them in my #Esty shop for more details)

I am going to make a range of these in different colours, plus they have given me another idea too..!
Ok I can hear the washing machine has just finished and so I need to get washing out while the sun is shining!
