Long time away

Wow my last post was on the 10th May 2011, life is unrecognisable from then til now.
I have no idea if anyone has even noticed my absence to be honest, but as a real passion of mine was blogging at one point I thought i'd give it another whirl and see if I still enjoy it as much as I used to.

What a year! I have left a long term relationship, am in a new one, I have moved house, stopped home educating my 2 children - who are both in full time secondary school now, am looking for a job, am living on my own (well besides the kids lol) for the moment - for the first time in my life,I have gone back to college gaining a level 2 certificate in both literacy and numeracy.
As some of you may know I suffered with depression for a long time ( See my post here about it) and if nothing else going through that at its worst moments last year taught me that you can't sit around waiting for life to come to you, you have to go out there, find it and grab it with both hands, enjoying every moment you can. I know that's not always easy - trust me I really do know, but if overall you can try to enjoy even the little things then life can be good :)
I am going to carry on crocheting, has been a long time since I have now, but I will continue with it.
If you were a regular reader/follower of mine please leave a comment saying hi, would be nice to know I'm not typing to myself! lol.

  5. You're a very brave lady being able to be so open about depression. I don't mean that to sound patronising - I speak from experience, I as I too suffer from depression. It can stay hidden from so many people for so long and silently eat away at your confidence and self-esteem which, ironically makes it something which remains silent for even longer.

I hope you're feeling better. And just for the record, I had noticed your absense!!

    Take care,
